Le groupe de rap-métal Molotov s’est formé en 1995 à Mexico, comprenant le chanteur/guitariste Tito Fuentes, les bassistes Mickey « Huidos » Huidobro et Jay de la Cueva, et un batteur connu sous le nom de « La Quesadillera ». En 1996, Paco Ayala a remplacé de la Cueva et Randy « El Gringo Loco » Ebright est devenu le nouveau batteur du groupe. Le premier album de Molotov, Donde Jugaran Las Ninas, sorti en 1997, a été un succès auprès des publics hispanophones et anglophones, et a été nommé aux Grammy Awards pour la meilleure performance latino-rock-alternatif.
The rap-metal band Molotov formed in 1995 in Mexico City, comprising singer/guitarist Tito Fuentes, bassists Mickey « Huidos » Huidobro and Jay de la Cueva, and a drummer known as « La Quesadillera ». By 1996, Paco Ayala had replaced de la Cueva and Randy « El Gringo Loco » Ebright became the band’s new drummer. Molotov’s 1997 debut LP, Donde Jugaran Las Ninas?, was a hit with both Spanish- and English-speaking audiences, earning a Grammy nomination for best Latin rock-alternative performance.
De rap-metalband Molotov werd in 1995 opgericht in Mexico City en bestond uit zanger/gitarist Tito Fuentes, bassisten Mickey “Huidos” Huidobro en Jay de la Cueva, en een drummer die bekend stond als “La Quesadillera”. In 1996 verving Paco Ayala de la Cueva en werd Randy “El Gringo Loco” Ebright de nieuwe drummer van de band. Molotovs debuut LP uit 1997, Donde Jugaran Las Ninas?, was een hit bij zowel het Spaans- als het Engelssprekende publiek en verdiende een Grammy nominatie voor beste Latin rock-alternatieve uitvoering.
