MAHALIA LE JEUDI 2 NOVEMBRE 2023 À LA MADELEINE, BRUXELLES !

Unaniment appréciée pour sa musique soul d’une sincérité désarmante, Mahalia est heureuse de confirmer ses retrouvailles avec ses nombreux fans. Artiste précoce s’il en est, Mahalia commence très jeune à écrire ses premières chansons, se fait remarquer par Ed Sheeran et signe dans la foulée un contrat avec une major. En 2012, à quatorze ans à peine, elle publie “Head Space” un premier EP, qui sera suivi d’un second “Never Change” en 2015 et d’une mixtape “Diary of Me” en 2016. Ses vibes R’n’B, sa voix suave et son groove font mouche. Elle est appelée par Rudimental en featuring sur le titre “We The Generation”, assure les premières parties d’Emeli Sandé, Ed Sheeran, Lauryn Hill ou encore Jorja Smith. Mais c’est avec son single “Sober” (2017) interprété en live sur la chaine YouTube A Color Show que sa musique devient virale, le titre cumule aujourd’hui plus de 65 millions de vues. ‘Love and Compromise’, son premier album sort en 2019 et son talent illumine le monde entier. Il lui permet de décrocher une nomination aux Brit Awards 2020, catégorie British Female Artist ainsi qu’aux Grammy Awards 2021, catégorie Best R&B Performance. Les critiques et le public se l’arrachent et ancrent définitivement Mahalia sur la scène hip-hop mondiale. Ses vingt-cinq bougies à peine soufflées, Mahalia déboule sur la toile avec “Terms And Conditions”, premier single qui annonce l’arrivée de son très attendu second album, ‘IRL’. L’attente est grande, et sera comblée le 2 novembre prochain à La Madeleine.

A precocious artist, Mahalia began writing her first songs at a very young age, was noticed by Ed Sheeran and immediately signed a contract with a major label. In 2012, at the age of 14, she released her first EP « Head Space », which was followed by « Never Change » in 2015 and a mixtape « Diary of Me » in 2016. Her R’n’B vibes, beautiful vocals and grooves catch on. She is called by Rudimental to collaborate on the song « We The Generation » and opens for Emeli Sandé, Ed Sheeran, Lauryn Hill and Jorja Smith. But it was with her live version of the single « Sober » (2017) on the YouTube channel A Color Show that her music went viral. The song has since accounted for more than 65 million views. ‘Love and Compromise’, her first album, will be released in 2019 and her talent is lighting up the world. It earns her a nomination at the 2020 Brit Awards in the British Female Artist category and at the 2021 Grammy Awards for Best R&B Performance. Critics and audiences alike are wildly enthusiastic and Mahalia has been an established name in the global hip-hop scene since then.
