Luidji, c’est l’histoire d’un homme qui coule, mais qui remonte la pente. Et ce premier album : Tristesse Business Season 1, n’est en réalité que la ligne d’arrivée d’un carrefour artistique sinueux et cabossé.
Un projet dense de 17 titres, en huis clos avec l’esprit vaporeux de ce rejeton du sud-ouest parisien, passé aussi par Aubervilliers et La Courneuve dans sa jeunesse. Mais avant d’en arriver à cet album, Luidji a tâtonné. C’est au milieu des années 2010 qu’il commence à se faire entendre, dans le sillage de son collectif La Capsule (où évoluent Dinos & Beeby). Il fera également une apparition dans la série Rap Contenders comme beaucoup d’artistes de sa génération, puis capitalisera en signant chez Wagram après l’obtention de son diplôme. De ce partenariat découle l’enchaînement de deux EPs : Station 1999 (2014) et Mécanique des Fluides (2015).
Ensuite : 4 années silencieuses sans sorties, et ce sentiment tordu de se noyer, d’être tiré vers le fond par les approximations artistiques et les tourments relationnels. Mais cette période de flottement n’aura pas été vaine, au contraire, elle l’a poussé à commencer à construire le bloc de la suite de sa jeune carrière.
Avec son équipe, ils fondent la playlist évolutive puis le label Foufoune Palace Bonjour, aujourd’hui signé chez Universal. Cela permet de concrétiser les synergies entre le rappeur et son clan de tous les jours.
Sur Tristesse Business Saison 1, Luidji exorcise enfin toutes ses chimères, qu’elles soient liées à des relations amoureuses écorchées ou à ses gamberges existentielles. Dans le simple but de remonter enfin à la surface, et idéalement de rester à flot.

A dense project of 17 tracks, behind closed doors with the vaporous spirit of the offspring of south-west Paris, who also passed through Aubervilliers and La Courneuve in his youth. But before coming to this album, Luidji groped around. It was in the mid-2010s that he started making himself heard, in the wake of his collective La Capsule (where Dinos & Beeby evolved). He will also make an appearance on the Rap Contenders series like many artists of his generation, and then capitalize on this by signing with Wagram after graduation. From this partnership came the sequence of two EPs: Station 1999 (2014) and Mécanique des Fluides (2015).
After that: 4 silent years with no releases, and this twisted feeling of drowning, of being pulled to the bottom by artistic approximations and relational torments. But this period of floating will not have been in vain, on the contrary, it has pushed him to start building the block of the continuation of his young career.
With his team they founded the evolving playlist and then label Foufoune Palace Bonjour, now signed to Universal. This is instrumental in concretizing the synergies between the rapper and his everyday clan.
On Tristesse Business Season 1, Luidji finally exorcises all his chimeras, whether they are related to flayed love relationships or his existential gamberges. With the simple aim of finally finding the surface, and ideally staying afloat.
Luidji is het verhaal van een man die zinkt, maar weer opstaat. En dit eerste album: Tristesse Business Season 1, is in werkelijkheid slechts de eindstreep van een kronkelig en gedeukt artistiek kruispunt.
Een dicht project van 17 tracks, achter gesloten deuren met de dampende geest van de telg uit zuidwest Parijs, die in zijn jeugd ook Aubervilliers en La Courneuve passeerde. Maar voordat hij tot dit album kwam, tastte Luidji rond. Het was in het midden van de jaren 2010 dat hij van zich begon te laten horen, in het kielzog van zijn collectief La Capsule (waar Dinos & Beeby uit voortkwamen). Hij zal ook zijn opwachting maken in de serie Rap Contenders, zoals vele artiesten van zijn generatie, en daar vervolgens op inspelen door na zijn afstuderen te tekenen bij Wagram. Uit deze samenwerking kwam de reeks van twee EP’s voort: Station 1999 (2014) en Mécanique des Fluides (2015).
Daarna: 4 stille jaren zonder releases, en dit verwrongen gevoel van verdrinking, van naar de bodem getrokken worden door artistieke benaderingen en relationele kwellingen. Maar deze periode van drijven zal niet tevergeefs zijn geweest, integendeel, het heeft hem ertoe aangezet het blok van de voortzetting van zijn jonge carrière te beginnen bouwen.
Met zijn team richtten ze de evoluerende playlist en vervolgens het label Foufoune Palace Bonjour op, dat nu getekend is bij Universal. Hiermee wordt de synergie tussen de rapper en zijn dagelijkse clan geconcretiseerd.
Op Tristesse Business Seizoen 1 drijft Luidji eindelijk al zijn hersenschimmen uit, of ze nu te maken hebben met platgetreden liefdesrelaties of zijn existentiële gamberges. Met het simpele doel om eindelijk de oppervlakte te vinden, en idealiter te blijven drijven.
