Du haut de ses 20 ans, Henry Moodie a déjà capté l’attention et conquis les coeurs de millions de fans à travers le monde. Et ce n’est que le début ! La star montante annonce la sortie d’un nouvel EP intitulé ‘good old days’ et son retour sur scène à travers l’Europe. Henry Moodie donne rendez-vous à ses fans belges le mardi 22 octobre à La Madeleine.
Très jeune, Henry Moodie commence à jouer de la guitare sur les conseils de sa mère, psychothérapeute, pour canaliser ses émotions à travers la musique. Encore adolescent, il se constitue une communauté de fans sur YouTube et Instagram en reprenant des chansons de ses idoles, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith et Ed Sheeran notamment. Après l’obtention d’un diplôme à la prestigieuse école de musique BIMM et une expérience au sein d’un groupe, le jeune Anglais trouve sa voie en tant que musicien et auteur-compositeur solo, en écrivant des paroles vulnérables et intemporelles. Il fait une entrée remarquée dans le monde de la musique avec ses premiers singles “you were there for me” et “drunk text”, qui comptent respectivement 97 millions et 239 millions de streams sur Spotify. Henry Moodie affiche déjà un CV scénique impressionnant aussi bien en première-partie d’artistes pop comme Mimi Webb, The Vamps et Lauren Spencer Smith ainsi qu’en tête d’affiche de ses propres shows comme en témoigne son concert complet au Kavka à Anvers l’année passée. Après la sortie de l’EP ‘in all of my lonely nights’ fin janvier, Henry Moodie prépare déjà la suite dont un nouveau single, “bad emotions”, le 21 juin et une tournée européenne pour l’automne. At a very young age, Henry Moodie started playing guitar on the advice of his mother, a psychotherapist, to channel his emotions through music. As a teenager, he built a fan base on YouTube and Instagram with covers of his idols, including Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran. With a degree from the prestigious BIMM music school in his pocket and a first experience in a band, the young Brit found his way as a solo musician and songwriter with vulnerable and timeless lyrics. His singles « you were there for me » and « drunk text » – accounting for 97 million and 239 million streams respectively! – were his first steps into the music world. Henry Moodie can already boast an impressive stage record, opening for pop stars like Mimi Webb, The Vamps and Lauren Spencer Smith, as well as garnering success with shows of his own such as at a sold-out Kavka in Antwerp last year. Since the release of his EP ‘in all of my lonely nights’ at the end of January, Moodie is already working on the next chapter: his new single « bad emotions » will be released on 21 June, and a European tour is planned for this autumn!
