Ezhel est un important représentant de la culture hip-hop / trap en Turquie avec un style lyrique étonnamment frais qui fusionne la contre-culture et la vie urbaine anatolienne. En mai 2017, il a publié son premier album « Müptezhel » dans lequel il mélange de manière expérimentale des sons trap, hip-hop et reggae. Bien que ce genre musical ne soit pas grand public, sa musique a réussi à traverser les genres et il est devenu un artiste favori parmi les auditeurs, dont certains ne suivent normalement pas la musique rap. En juin 2018, il sort son titre expérimental « Kazıdık Tırnaklarla » (We Scratched with Our Nails) qui a été enregistré à Berlin. Outre son succès dans les charts, l’importance de ce titre est qu’il symbolise l’explosion artistique d’Ezhel d’Ankara à Berlin, d’une carrière nationale à une carrière internationale. La première semaine de février 2019, son single suivant, « Felaket » (« Catastrophe »), est entré dans les charts, à la suite de quoi il a effectué sa première tournée européenne de 18 concerts, qui se sont tous déroulés à guichets fermés. En septembre 2019, il a commencé à sortir des singles avec le rappeur turco-néerlandais Murda, dont l’un d’eux, « Aya », est devenu un tube afro-latin-rap contagieux et a connu un grand succès dans les classements. En novembre 2019, il sort un album en collaboration avec le rappeur germano-turc Ufo361, intitulé « Lights Out ». L’album a été très bien accueilli par la critique et a obtenu de très bons résultats en streaming avec des titres comme « Wir sind Kral » et « YKKE ». Il a ensuite sorti un album en collaboration avec Murda, intitulé « Made in Turkey », en 2020, puis une série de singles en solo jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Il a été extrêmement productif pendant ses années à Berlin, il a sorti des chansons avec des artistes comme Luciano, Summer Cem, Haftbefehl, Gentleman et ainsi de suite. Il a sorti de nombreux succès, dont 16 numéros 1 dans les charts turcs, 1 Top 10 et 5 Top 50 dans les charts allemands et 7 chansons dans le Top 200 des charts mondiaux. Il a fait deux tournées à guichets fermés en Allemagne et en Europe et pour sa prochaine tournée, il se rendra dans des arènes et des grandes salles dans toute l’Europe, en particulier à la Lanxess Arena de Cologne à l’automne 2023.
