Jean Emeneya Mubiala Kwamambu, ‘King Kester Emeneya’, was born in Kikwit November 23 1956, he died in Paris February 13 2014. He became famous as a singer-songwriter, textwriter and composer of Congolese music.
In 1977 he joins Papa Wemba’s band, Viva La Musica. December 24, 1982 he creates his own band, VICTORIA ELEISON. He then becomes the most popular African artist of the 80s and 90s.
Hij always claimed to be the King of Congolese music.
